Critical Reflections on Security
The Critical Reflections on Security, 9/11 and the Canadian Settler Colony Conference will be held on the territories of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatomie from September 29th to October 1st, 2022. This historical and transdisciplinary conference will include presentations from practitioners and academics across disciplines and is designed to examine the historical impact of security on racialized communities historically, as well as the impact of expanding notions of security and surveillance since 9/11.
Organizers
The Conference organizers are leading security scholars who sought to bring together scholars, community members, legal experts, and students to take stock of the impact of the “war on terror” on marginalized communities.
